California King Bed Sheets – Choosing The Right Thread Count For Your Sheets

California king beds are the largest option available. Measuring an impressive 72" across and 84" long, this bed can comfortably accommodate any individual or couple. California king mattresses are especially well-suited to tall individuals who may be uncomfortable in a shorter bed. To really get the most out of your bed, you need to take the time to choose the right California king bed sheets.

The most important variable when you're looking at sheets is the thread count. If you've never been shopping for sheets before, you may be somewhat confused by this number. Thread count is the number of threads that are woven into each square inch of fabric. Though you can't see each and every thread with the naked eye, just imagine what a weaving with 100 threads per inch would look like versus one with 200 or 300 threads. You can immediately understand the difference that this little number can make.

The higher the thread count is, the thicker the fabric will be. This results in more durable and comfortable California king bed sheets. Using a traditional weaving method, the highest thread count you can achieve is 400. However, newer methods in weaving, such as using 2-ply yarn or multiple picks, can result in thread counts that are even higher. While thread count is very important, some manufacturers have tried to capitalize on this too much, by using complex methods of weaving just to get a higher thread count, regardless of the actual quality of the sheets.

Up to a thread count of 300, you'll notice a significant difference in the feel of the sheets. Beyond 300, though, most California king bed sheets will feel similar. In some cases, a 600 thread count will be less comfortable than a 300 thread count because the lower count was constructed with higher quality material. Make sure you understand what your sheets are made from so you can get an accurate understanding of how they'll feel.

California king bed sheets that are made from 100% cotton are one of the most popular options. These sheets are breathable, smooth, and very comfortable. For added warmth, cotton flannel is a good option. Before you place your order, measure the depth of your bed to make sure your sheets will fit right. Deep pocket and extra deep pocket sheets are available for thick mattresses, so you don't have to worry about corners slipping off as you're drifting off to dreamland. Bed Linens Etc., has something to fit every bed.

Three Quarter Bed Sheets – Perfect Sheet for the Unusual Bed

The three-quarters bed is not very common these days. It is smaller than the full and queen beds but wider than the twin bed. The three quarter bed is also refered to as an antique bed. The typical three quarter bed is 48 inches wide and 75 inches long. You will commonly find them at antique stores. Many people prefer such beds if they need some additional sleeping space for one person, or if they have a guest room that is too small for a full or queen bed. It is also a great option if you have to fit the mattress through narrow stairways and small doors. Bedding is often considered as the biggest disadvantage of a three quarters bed. If you are holding back on buying a three quarters bed because of lack of proper three quarter bed sheets, or do not have a proper one for your existing bed, visit Bed Linens Etc., for great options.

3/4 Bed Sheets at Bed Linens Etc.
Three quarters beds have become popular in recent times. However, you may not find the right bed sheets at regular department store near your house. Do not use a twin or a full sheet instead. The twin sheets will be too small, and the full or queen may get bunched up night. At Bed Linens Etc., we offer fitted sheets with deep and extra-deep 16 to 22 inch pockets for thick mattresses. Our sheets will fit your mattress perfectly. They are available in a variety of colors and hues to suit your décor and bed.

However, they may be more expensive than the ones with a lower thread count. We also have something for special weather. Our Portuguese flannel three quarter bed sheets can keep you warm in the coldest of nights. Bamboo fiber sheets are eco-friendly. They can keep you cold and comfortable in warm weather. If you have a limited budget, you can chose 50 percent polyester and 50 percent cotton with a 200 count sheet sets and deep to extra-deep pockets.

With hundreds of colors, textures and thread count options, Bed Linens Etc. is the best place to shop for three quarter bed sheets. Our friendly customer service agents are knowledgeable. We look forward to hearing from you and answering your questions about our sheets and our company.

Queen Sofa Bed Sheets – Keep Guests Happy With The Right Sofa Bed Sheets

When you're choosing queen sofa bed sheets, it's important to have your guests in mind. While it may be tempting to grab any old sheets for this bed, you want to spend a little time and consideration choosing the right ones. Many people simply use their own standard sheets for the sofa bed. This can be problematic because sofa beds don't have the same measurements as standard full or queen beds.A full sofa bed is about three inches shorter than a full size mattress. A queen sofa bed is a full six inches shorter than a queen bed.

If you use regular queen sheets instead of queen sofa bed sheets, you're going to have six inches of extra fabric. While you can try to wrap this around the bottom of the bed, chances are that the corners will slip off in the night while your guests are sleeping. A restless sleeper who moves around a lot could end up tangled up in the sheets the next morning because the poor fit just won't keep the bedding in place. If you want to save a little money, you can reuse any flat sheets. However, the fitted sheets should always be made for a sofa bed.

Finding queen sofa bed sheets isn't always easy. Your standard big box store probably won't have this kind of product. However, shopping at a specialty retailer like BedLinensEtc.com will open a whole new world of bedding options to you. This store offers sheets in every imaginable size, including those elusive sleeper sofa sizes. Get at least two sheet sets for your sleeper sofa. If there's a spill or accident, your guests shouldn't have to wait for the laundry to run. Always have two sheet sets on hand for a quick and easy change.

If you purchase queen sofa bed sheet set, you'll get a flat sheet, fitted sheet, and pillowcases in the set. If you choose to purchase separately, opt for a color that's easy to match, like white. This way you can use the flat sheets that you already have while still matching the fitted sheets for your sleeper sofa. Finish up your guest bed with a blanket and comforter. Offer plenty of layers so your guests can choose to use as many or as few of these options as they want. With plenty of choices, your visitors are sure to find a combination that they'll enjoy.

Identifying the Differences Between Tailored and Ruffled Bed Skirts

For most individuals living around the world, their home is their castle. Depending on the person, they may spend a great deal of time in any number of rooms of the house—thought they are likely to frequent the bedroom on a regular basis. Those who want to have optimal results when it comes to decorating their bedroom may consider the use of tailored or ruffled bed skirts. Before one can understand the difference between these two products, he or she must have a good idea of the bed skirt itself.

Traditionally, a bedskirt is defined as decorative piece of fabric that is held between the mattress and the box spring of the bed. In most cases, the bed skirt hangs down to the floor, providing a decorative touch to any bedroom. While bed skirts can look great in a variety of styles, they are most commonly associated with use on queen or king beds. Bed skirts are commonly used by individuals who wish to store goods under their bed, and don’t want the products to be visible to others. They are available in a variety of styles and colors, and can definitely add to the look of a room.

So what, exactly, is a tailored bed skirt? As one might guess, a tailored bed skirt is a specific style of bed skirt that lays flat against the frame of the bed, and does not feature any decorative ruffles or designs. Tailored bed skirts are often used by men and women who wish to present a sleek, modern image, and those who are classic or traditionalistic. Finding tailored bed skirts is a relatively easy process, as they can be found through most retailers. Consider Bed Linens Etc the next time you are looking for tailored bed skirts!

Though they have a similar name, ruffled bed skirts have an appearance that is much different to their tailored counterparts. Traditionally, ruffled bed skirts:

  • Featured ruffled edges or borders
  • Are considered to be more “decorative”
  • May be preferred by women, young girls, or those who have a flare for the dramatic.

It is important that both tailored and ruffled bed skirts can look appropriate in a number of unique settings. Be sure to carefully consider which style of bed skirt is right for your before making a final purchase. Bed Linens Etc can provide assistance when it comes to finding the perfect bed skirt, including those designed for use with sheets that have deep pocket and extra deep pocket features.

Full Sofa Bed Sheet – An Important Option

Too many people make the mistake of assuming that their standard sheets will work just as well for a full sofa bed.  But a sofa bed is different, and the thickness of the mattress alone is enough to make the sheets slip off the corners, bunch up, fall off, and more.  More than one guest has woken up on a sofa bed to find themselves wrapped up like a giant burrito in a sheet that has fallen off the mattress overnight. Buying a full sofa bed sheet set is the best way to avoid this embarrassing and frustrating issue.

A full sofa bed sheet should come in a 4 inch to 6 inch pocket design so that it gets the right fit.  But the real secret is the depth.  At 54x72 inches in size and only 6 inches thick, your bed sheet will actually fit your sofa bed the right way.  Standard sheets are designed for mattresses that are often one to two feet in thickness, which is why when you try them on a sofa bed you encounter the slipping and the poor fit that causes so much trouble.  It may seem like a small matter, but it's actually a major issue and one worth confronting.

Obviously the size and the fit are the important factors here, but the truth is that style matters as well.  Colors for a full sofa bed sheet run the full spectrum just like a standard sheet set would.  This lets you pick out the right color and style for your room and style.  And all of the sheet sets available are designed to by hypoallergenic and to provide a great rest even if someone has allergies or other breathing or skin related issues.  In other words, you get everything you would from a regular sheet, designed for a sofa bed.

The material used in a full sofa bed sheet set can be chosen as well.  For those in cold areas a flannel sheet will help the nights stay warmer.  Those in hot areas will want to consider a bamboo sheet set.  And of course, the old standby is cotton.  There are plenty of cotton sheets available and you can select the thread count you want, ranging from three hundred up to one thousand thread count.  The higher the thread count, the silkier and smoother the sheet.  There's no reason to ignore the need for a sofa bed sheet.  You've got options.

Twin Sofa Bed Sheets – How To Set Up Your Twin Sofa Bed

Twin sofa beds aren't as common as full or queen size sofa beds, so many people aren't equipped to set up this kind of bed. A twin sofa bed often folds out of a loveseat or oversized chair. A standard twin size bed measures 39" x 75" but your twin sofa bed may have slightly different measurements. Twin sofa bed sheets measure 36" x 72" are a better fit. If the bed is slightly longer than the average twin, twin XL sheets measure 39" x 80". The first step to properly outfitting your sofa bed is measuring it so you can get the proper twin sofa bed sheets.

If your bed doesn't match any of the measurements provided above, you may need to look for custom sheets. Bed Linens Etc., is an online bedding store that will custom make any sheets to meet your specific measurements. With this retailer, you can get the twin sofa bed sheets that you need without the hassle of stretching or altering existing sheets. It's important that the fitted sheet match the measurements of the mattress. A fitted sheet that's too small won't fit on the bed, while one that's too large won't stay in place.

To make your bed more comfortable, consider adding a mattress topper beneath the twin sofa bed sheets. If you don't have a topper, you can fold an extra comforter to fit the top of the sofa bed. A sleeping bag beneath the sheets can offer extra comfort as well. Many twin sofa bed mattresses are thin and flimsy, so any extra help that you can offer for the bed will be welcome. Extra padding at the top of the bed can often help as well. If there's a gap between the back of the chair and the top of the sofa bed, consider tucking a cushion or extra pillow in here.

Once you've made the base of the bed as comfortable as possible, you can begin adding bedding. If your twin sofa bed sheets came in a set, the top sheet is the first thing you'll lay down over the fitted sheet. If you purchased a custom fitted sheet alone, and standard twin flat sheet should work. Add a blanket or comforter on top of this. An extra throw at the end of the bed will allow your guests to choose between a lighter throw and a heavier comforter. In a cold basement, your visitors may use both. BedLinensEtc.com has everything you need to make a comfortable sofa bed.

California King Sheet Set – Pick The Right Sheet Set For Every Season

The right California king sheet set will take your bed from passable to perfection. Make sure that you're waking up in complete comfort by carefully choosing the right sheets for every season. In most climates, the bedding that's comfortable in summer won't work as well for winter. Use these tips to find the right bedding for any month of the year.

In warm summer months, you want a California king sheet set that's light and breathable. While you don't want to downgrade your thread count too much, moving from a 500 thread count to 300 will make the sheets a bit lighter without a great loss to quality. Choose 100% cotton for a smooth surface that's still cool and comfortable in the heat. When you have light sheets for the summer months, you can save money on your air conditioning by turning the thermostat up a few notches at night when you're not moving around. Pair your light summer sheet set with a comforter that's lightweight as well. Ditch any extra blankets in this season.

As you move into fall, adding a blanket to your bedding can take your summer sheets smoothly into the cooler months. If you're still feeling a bit chilly, try 100% cotton sheets with a thread count of 400 or 500, which will be a little heavier. These sheets are perfect for both fall and spring. If you change your bedding set seasonally, choose neutral-colored sheets that will match in both seasons.

For cold winter months, you should choose the heaviest and coziest California king sheet set that you can find. Cotton flannel is a great choice. These sheets will be soft and warm, to help you stay comfortable even when the temperatures are dropping outside the covers. Just as in summer, you can save on your heating and cooling bill by keeping the home closer to the temperature outside while you're sleeping. With warm flannel sheets, you won't even notice if you set the thermostat a few degrees cooler than normal.

When you're selecting any seasonal California king sheet set, make sure to choose the appropriate size for your mattress. Measure the thickness of the mattress and opt for deep pocket or extra deep pocket sheets if yours is thicker than 22". This will keep your bedding securely in place in any season. Bed Linens Etc. has you covered for great sheets year round.

Queen Sofa Bed Sheet – The Right Call to Make

Buying a separate set of bed sheets for your sofa bed may not sound like it makes a lot of sense, but when you consider how different that sofa bed is from a standard bed you'll see why it deserves its own set of sheets.  If you have a sofa bed and frequently use it for guests, the kids, or even for yourself, having the best sheets for it is important.  A queen sized sofa bed, for example, needs a queen sofa bed sheet set, not a standard sheet set designed for your regular bed.  The difference is size.

While a queen sofa bed is roughly the same length and width as a standard queen mattress, the thickness is where the big difference is.  A standard mattress will be anywhere from one to two feet thick, while a sofa bed is usually between four and six inches thick.  That difference in thickness means that slipping a standard queen sheet onto the sofa bed will end in a loose fit, bunching of the sheet, and usually in more than one corner coming free and creating a headache for your guest.  A queen sofa bed sheet set is a better option.

A queen sofa bed sheet features dimensions of six inches thick and 60x74 inches in overall size.  This lets the sheet fit the entire queen size bed but at the same time is shallow enough to slip over the corners of the bed and get a good, snug fit that will last.  The option of deep pocket and extra deep pockets helps to make them a perfect fit for any bed.  And since you can find these sheets in any material you would normally be able to buy standard sheets in, you'll get to create the perfect sleeping experience for your guests.

If comfort is the main goal, cotton sheets are available in three hundred up to one thousand thread counts.  The higher the thread count, the silkier the sheet will feel.  But there are also bamboo sheets designed for warm climates and flannel sheets made for those cold nights.  No matter where you live or what you're in need of, there's a queen sofa bed sheet that is right for you.  You just have to take the time to find it.  Don't try to put a standard sheet on the sofa bed and hope for the best.  It's a mistake your guests won't appreciate.

Determining the Size of a Mattress

A high quality mattress is an important component of any home. Mattresses not only provide us with comfort during our sleeping hours, but also while reading, watching television, and working on business or school work. While it is not a necessity, most individuals choose to cover their mattresses with sheets and bedspreads—and therefore, and expected to know the size of the mattress in question. While there are a number of different sizes of mattresses available, the most common include twin, full, king and queen options. Be sure you are confident about the size of your mattress before selecting sheets or bedspreads for your product!
As mentioned above, twin mattresses are one of the most commonly found types of mattresses. Despite its name, most twin mattresses are only designed to be used by one adult or child at a time—though a parent and child may be able to squeeze into the small space. Twin mattresses are great for spare rooms, daybeds, bunk beds, and basements. They are also referred to by the name of single mattresses, though this is more common in areas outside of the Unite States.
The full mattress is another popular type of mattress that is found widely around the world. Full mattresses are typically manufactured in sizes of 54 by 75 inches, which can comfortably fit one adult—and may be able to accommodate two adults. While this was a popular option for married couples in the 1960s and 1970s, the product is being used by a single individual on a more and more frequent basis. Couples who do opt for this product typically have it special ordered in a longer size.
The queen mattress, which measures 60 by 80 inches, is the most popular type of mattress sold in the world. While this mattress is most commonly used by married couples, it can also work well for singles who simply want a bit of extra room. The prevalence of queen mattresses around the world means that finding bedspreads and sheets in unique colors or styles—such as those with deep pocket or extra deep pocket features—is no longer a problem. Nowdays you can find Olympic Queen and California Queen mattress sizes as well.
Finally, king mattresses have grown substantially in popularity during the last several years. As one might guess, these are the largest of all mattresses, and measure 76 by 80 inches. King mattresses are great options for couples who enjoy sleeping together—but want to maintain their space. California king mattresses are a unique version of the king which offers an extra four inches of length at the bottom of the bed.
You will be surprised but most people do not know their correct mattress size and put the wrong size bed sheets on them. To make sure you get the correct size measure your mattress length, width, and depth.

Full Extra Long Sheets – The Importance of Extra Long Sheet Sets

Full extra long sheets are specially designed for beds that have different dimensions than normal. A standard full bed measures 54" across and 75" long. An extra long, or "XL" full bed measures 80" long, which is the standard length for a queen or king size mattress. If you want still more length, a full XX-long is 84" long, or the same length as a California King. If you want a little extra room to stretch out at night, but you have a small space to work with, beds that offer added length are a great solution. Those extra five to nine inches can make a big difference.

If you choose to get an extra long mattress, you'll need to invest in specialty sheets so that you have the right fit. Full extra long sheets aren't always easy to find. Some individuals may have tried wrapping king, queen, or California king sheets around the sides of the bed to get the right fit. Using a flat as a fitted sheet is another popular trick. Hotels use this tactic so their flat and fitted sheets are interchangeable. This also makes them easier to fold and store en masse. For your home environment, however, you need sheets that truly fit and shouldn't settle for anything less.

Bed Linens Etc., carries lots of different options when it comes to sheets. You're sure to find something for every bed here. There are several choices for full extra long sheets. You can even opt for deep or extra deep pockets. These options will accommodate a mattress that's extra thick. This applies to many luxury mattresses as well as any standard mattress that has a special mattress topper added for comfort. Whatever the dimensions of your bed, you can find sheets here to fit it. If there's nothing in stock, you can even have sheets custom made from Bed Linens Etc.

It's so important to have full extra long sheets that fit your bed properly. If your sheets are too big, you're going to wake up with them bunched up around the corners. Sheets that are too small will pop off the corners of the bed, so you might wake up sleeping directly on the mattress or mattress pad while the sheets are balled up in a corner of the bed. You don't need to resort to safety pins, sheet clips, or other gimmicks to keep your sheet in place when you get the right size product to begin with from a specialty retailer like Bed Linens Etc.

Adjustable Bed Sheets – How To Choose Bed Sheets

Adjustable beds are any beds with the ability to move and bend. Some adjustable beds simply elevate at the head, while others have elevation options for the feet as well. In sizes beyond a twin, adjustable beds often feature a split design. Split beds have two separate mattresses that are connected at the base so that they sit side by side even though they are individually adjustable. Adjustable bed sheets need to be flexible enough to meet the needs of these unique therapeutic beds.

If your bed is a single unit without a split design, you should choose adjustable bed sheets that fit the entire bed. These sheets may be a little larger than traditional sheets so you have room to move the bed up and down. It can also be very beneficial to get adjustable sheets with deep or extra deep pockets. These make it easier to keep the mattress in place even when it's being adjusted. If the pockets of your sheets are too shallow, they may pop off the corners while you're sleeping, causing many annoying problems as you get tangled in the sheets.

If your mattress has a split design, you should order adjustable bed sheets that are made specifically for split mattresses. You do not order these sheets separately. Rather, you order a single set for the whole bed. This set will come with two fitted sheets that are suited to the unique dimensions of a split bed. The top sheet is still a single unit that will cover both sides of the bed. When you're shopping for split bed sheets, measure the bed as a whole to decide what size sheets you need. If both sides together are the size of a king bed, then you'll need king split mattress sheets, even though the individual mattresses are close to the size of a twin.

Finding adjustable bed sheets can be difficult in standard home goods stores. Online retailers typically have a wider selection. If you're looking for custom bed sheets to fit your mattress, Bed Linens Etc., is the place to shop. Not only will you find sheets for nearly any mattress size, you'll also have the option to order custom made sheets if you can't find exactly what you're looking for. Choices include 100% cotton and flannel as well as several different thread counts. With a wide range of colors, there's sure to be something in this store for anyone. Keep your bedroom looking and feeling as comfortable as possible with the right bedding.

Split King Bed Sheets – Get a Comfortable Night Sleep with Split King Bed Sheets

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 50 to 70 million American adults suffer from sleep disorders and insomnia. Several factors influence your sleep patterns including your diet, overall health and stress levels. Healthcare professionals often recommend having a comfortable bed to promote good night's sleep. Many couples have switched to split mattress beds. This reduces the impact when your partner moves or tosses on the bed. However, a traditional bed sheet set can negate all the benefits you expect from your split king bed. If you have switched the mattress, it is time to upgrade to new split king bed sheets as well.

The split king bed sheets have become very popular in recent times. Each set consist of two fitted sheets, one flat sheet and two king sized pillow cases. Your bed will look great during the day and feel great at night. You will instantly feel the difference. Split king beds and mattresses are relatively rare, and so are the linens and accessories for those beds. You may not find them at every store that sells lines and sheet sets. Bed Linens Etc. is a great place to find sheet sets for split king beds.

You should consider several factors before buying a bed sheet. Apart from the color, look at the texture. Some of you may prefer cotton sheets, while others may swear by the satin ones. You may also choose 50 percent cotton/ 50 percent polyester sheets, flannel sheets or bamboo sheets. Make sure the bed sheet is durable and soft. Look at the thread count. You will find 300, 400, 500, and 1,000 thread count split king bed sheets. Sheets with higher thread count will have a softer feel and have a silky appearance. Bamboo fiber sheets have also gained immense popularity during the recent times because they are eco-friendly and comfortable. These soft and luxurious sheets remain cool and comfortable in hot weather as well.

Benefits of Mattress Pads

After a long day at work, there is nothing better than returning to the comfort of one’s home. While some people may enjoy relaxing in the living room or on the couch, others may simply wish to lay down in bed and rest. To maximize comfort while in bed, more and more individuals have begun to use mattress pads on their beds. These pads not only can add a great deal of comfort to a bed, but also may be an effective way to prevent damage associated with spills and/or accidents, and can increase the longevity of the mattress in question.

A bed is considered to be a comfortable place, and it should come as no surprise that most individuals are willing to do whatever it takes to make this piece of furniture as comfortable and inviting as possible. Though there are a number of ways in which a bed can be made more comfortable, the use of a pad for the mattress is one of the easiest. These pads provide additional comfort to existing mattresses, and may be a good option for individuals who have recently diagnosed back pair or arthritis. Be sure to carefully evaluate the softness of specific mattress pads before including it in bed.

While the bedroom should be used only for sleep, more and more individuals have begun to use this room as an office, kitchen, and basic entertainment setting. Unfortunately, this means that spills and/or accidents on the bed are common—and while mattress pads cannot prevent these accidents from happening, they are useful when it comes to stopping severe damage to the mattress itself. A bed is typically quite expensive, and any way in which it can be maintained or salvaged is appreciated by most individuals.
Bed Linens Etc. Mattress Pad

Most experts agree that the typical mattress has a limited life expectancy, which peaks at or around eight years. A mattress usually wears out its usefulness due to the build-up of sweat, dead skin, moisture, and other human byproducts, some of which cannot be avoided. While no mattress can last forever, those which are protected against these excretions, through the use of mattress pads, may last for a longer period of time. Pads which are used in this manner will need to be washed and dried on a regular basis, and may require semi-frequent replacement. Consult with the experts and Bed Linens Etc for more assistance when it comes to cleaning these pads.

How to Measure Bedskirt Drop

The cost of decorating a house can be a daunting process. Depending on the size of the specific residence, costs to fill and decorate homes can range from a few thousand to more than ten thousand. Though all of the rooms require thought and preparation to ensure optimal results in the decorating process, designing the bedroom may be an especially challenging step. For most people, the bed is the focal point of the bedroom, and should be treated as such. Be sure to understand, know how to measure, and carefully evaluate the importance of becoming familiar bedskirt drop to have a beautiful bedroom that will last for years.

As mentioned above, having a basic understanding of bedskirt drop is essential for individuals who want to achieve great results with the style in their bedroom. Traditionally, bedskirt drop is defined as the amount of space between the box spring and floor in a specific style of bed. Depending on the bed spring itself, the amount of bed skirt drop that is calculated may vary quite substantially. In most cases, the more bedskirt drop, the more stunning the appearance of the bedroom in question.

So how, exactly, do you measure the drop of a specific bedskirt? As one might guess from the discussion above, the easiest way to determine bed skirt drop involves measuring the distance from the top of the bed spring to the floor, which can be done with a rule, tape measure, or other type of calculating device. To ensure optimal results when it comes to this step, decorators may want to consider measuring the area more than once. Similarly, asking a friend of family member to check your calculations may be a great way to make sure that you are getting the correct numbers.

Measure from top of boxspring to floor

So why, exactly, is it important to calculate the bedskirt drop? While this process may seem time consuming and unnecessary, it is actually quite important for people who wish to:
  • Have a sleek, well-styled bedroom
  • Avoid the bedskirt from  becoming dirty or damaged
  • Prevent return trips to the home decorating store.
Finding the right bedskirt for a bed can definitely make or break the look of a room—and thus, measuring bedskirt drop is definitely an important process. A sofa bed is an important component of any comfortable home. Sofa beds not only provide residents with a place to watch television, do homework, or simply relax after a long day of work and school, but also serve as acceptable accommodations for guests who may be visiting for either a long or short period of time. To ensure optimal results when it comes to the use of a sofa bed, most individuals prefer to use sofa bed sheets. While there are a number of options when it comes to sofa bed sheets, attached and unattached options are most common.

So what exactly is the difference between attached and unattached sofa bed sheets? To understand this question, we must first have a basic knowledge of attached sofa bed sheets. As suggested by the name, attached sofa bed sheets are actually connected to another object—in this case, the fitted sheet which will fit over the sofa bed itself. Attached sofa bed sheets are typically attached to the fitted sheet at the foot of the bed, though other options may be available. This is considered to be ideal for many people, as it prevents the sheet from coming off in the middle of the night.

As one might guess, then, unattached sofa bed sheets are those which are not connected to the corresponding fitted sheet in any manner, and instead rests on the bed in a loose fashion. This style of sheet may be best for individuals who are more traditional or simplistic in style or nature, or who wish to “mix and match” their fitted sofa bed sheets with the coverlets. Unlike their attached counterparts, unattached sofa bed sheets may also be used for other purposes, making them ideal for individuals who may be on a limited budget. In addition, unattached sofa bed sheets may be great when combined with sheets that feature a deep pocket or extra deep pocket.

Obviously, understanding and identifying the differences between unattached and attached sofa bed sheets is essential for individuals who wish to have good results. In fact, purchasing either an attached or unattached set of sofa bed sheets can significant affect the ways in which it can be used. Those who have additional questions about these products may want to consult with the experts at Bed Linens Etc. These customer service representatives should be able to answer any and all questions about the product in question, and assist you in making an educated purchase.

Maintaining the Quality of Sofa Bed Mattress Pads

Mattress pads are products traditionally placed on top of mattresses, and used to make a bed softer and more comfortable. While mattress pads are not especially expensive, most individuals do not wish to purchase them more than they need to—and thus, want to maintain their quality for as long as possible. While there are a number of ways in which individuals can keep their sofa bed mattress pads looking and feeling great, washing them regularly, drying them carefully, and storing them appropriately are some of the easiest methods. Those who have additional questions about the maintenance of these pads may want to consult with the experts at Bed Linens Etc.

As stated above, washing sofa bed mattress pads on a semi-regular basis is essential for those who want to keep the products in good condition. In most cases, these pads will only be used on an as-needed basis, which may result in an infrequent washing. While it may be hard to remember to wash these pads, doing so not only will make them more sanitary, but may actually increase their comfort and durability, as well. Be sure to check with manufacturer’s recommendations to achieve optimal results when it comes to washing these products.

Drying sofa bed mattress pads completely after they have been washed is also an essential part of the cleaning process. While some pads may be able to be simply thrown into the dryer, those which feature synthetic fabrics—such as nylon—may not be appropriate for these fixtures. Instead, they may need to be air or sun-dried to ensure optimal results. Be sure that the mattress pads are completely free from moisture before bringing them indoors to prevent the development of mold, mildew, or other similar allergens from developing.

Finally, storing sofa bed mattress pads in a responsible manner when they are not in use will definitely extend their life expectancy. As stated above, mattress pads are typically only applied to a sofa bed when needed, and may be kept in a closet or storage space for the remainder of the time. Be sure that the pads are folded neatly and carefully, and placed in a space that is free from moisture, humidity, dirt, dust, and other types of debris. Those who are especially concerned about the pads may want to consider placing them in a water and dirt proof storage bag or box.

Why Choose Sheets for Sofa Beds?

These days, we hear more and more about individuals who have had to downsize. While some people can get by with selling a car or some personal effects, others have had to move from one home, apartment, or other living environment to another—which is often smaller in size. During the downsizing process, most people are forced to come up with creative ways to use the space in which they have relocated. Sofa beds are a popular option not only for those who have downsized, but for all individuals living on a tight budget. While a sofa bed can be acceptable on its own, adding sheets for sofa beds can increase comfort, appearance, and, and longevity.

Without doubt, one of the most popular reasons behind the use of sheets for sofa beds involves comfort. For most people, getting comfortable is an essential part of falling asleep each night. While some individuals may be able to fall asleep on a plain sofa bed, most others require a soft coverlet—such as that provided by sofa bed sheets. Depending on the material from which the sheets are made, the feel of the sofa bed may vary dramatically.

For best results, consider using sofa bed sheets that correspond to colors already occurring in the room. Patter, print, and the material from which the sofa bed sheets are made can also make a big difference for those who are focused on appearance when it comes to this product.

Finally, longevity is an important concern for all consumers on a tight budget. Lately, more people have become concerned about the longevity of their household goods, and are looking for unique ways to make their property last longer. By using sheets for sofa beds, individuals can substantial lengthen the amount of time that the sofa bed will be considered not only useable, but also comfortable. Full Sofa Bed Sheet – The Best for Your Guests

Full Sofa Bed Sheet – The Best for Your Guests

When you have guests over and lack enough bedrooms, the sofa bed saves the day every time.  And sofa beds have come a long way from the uncomfortable, hard, lumpy things they once were.  But while sofa beds have evolved, many people actually haven't let their sheet selection evolve along with them.  In other words, they're still trying to put a standard sheet on a mattress that is anything but standard.  If you have a full sized sofa bed, using a full sofa bed sheet is the best way to ensure that your guests are able to get the comfort they deserve when they're staying with you.

The big difference lies in the size and design.  Take one look at the thickness of a mattress on a bed and compare it to the one on a sofa bed and you'll see the problem.  A standard mattress can be as thick as two feet or more, while a sofa bed mattress rarely exceeds six inches.  That means that trying to put a standard sheet on the sofa bed results in the sheets slipping off the corners, bunching up, and creating a restless, annoying sleep for your guests.  But a full sofa bed sheet won't do this.

Full sofa bed sheet sets measure at the standard size of 54x72 but with a big difference. They're generally only six inches deep.  And since they're available in deep pockets or extra deep pocket designs, they'll actually fit your bed perfectly.  They're designed to fit without slipping off the mattress and give your guests the perfect rest.  Cotton sheets will usually come in 300, 400, 500, and even luxurious 1,000 thread counts so that you get exactly the feel you want for your sheets.  But there are other fabric options as well including flannel for cold nights and bamboo sheets for those hot summer nights.

And just like standard bed sheets you'll be able to find a full sofa bed sheet that fits your style perfectly since they're available in all colors.  In short, it's a purchase that you don't want to ignore.  Your guests will be glad that you took the time to buy a quality sheet set, and you won't have to feel embarrassed when your guests wake up wrapped like a mummy in a sheet that has come loose from the bed.  Get the sheet that is designed for your sofa bed, and your guests will thank you. And don't forget to get a full sofa bed mattress pad to compliment your new sheets.

Full Sofa Bed Sheet – An Important Option

Full Sofa Bed Sheet – An Important Option

Too many people make the mistake of assuming that their standard sheets will work just as well for a full sofa bed.  But a sofa bed is different, and the thickness of the mattress alone is enough to make the sheets slip off the corners, bunch up, fall off, and more.  More than one guest has woken up on a sofa bed to find themselves wrapped up like a giant burrito in a sheet that has fallen off the mattress overnight. Buying a full sofa bed sheet set is the best way to avoid this embarrassing and frustrating issue.

A full sofa bed sheet will come in deep pocket or extra deep pocket designs so that it gets the right fit.

And do not forget to get a full sofa bed mattress pad to compliment your new sofa bed sheets.

Full XL Sheet Sets – The Right size and Fit

Full XL Sheet Sets – The Right  size and Fit

Ask anyone what makes a good night's sleep and they'll likely list the mattress pretty high on their responses.  But while that's true, the sheets you stretch over that mattress have an impact as well.  And today there are so many different sizes of mattresses that actually finding the right sheets can be a problem for some people.  Full XL size mattresses, for instance, are six inches longer than a standard full size mattress.  That means that full size sheets are too small and queen size sheets are too large.  Full XL sheet sets are the obvious solution here, but not everyone can find them.

Full XL sheet sets are designed to match the oversized design of a full XL bed perfectly.  They are fifty four inches wide and eighty inches long, fully accommodating the extra length of these mattresses.  And because mattresses are available in different thicknesses, the best sheets will come with either deep pockets or extra deep pockets.  The deep pockets are perfect for mattresses up to sixteen inches thick while the extra deep sheets are designed for anything larger.  Simply put, it's the perfect fit for your full XL bed and will ensure that you don't wake up with the sheets loose, bunched, or worse.

For years the only way to buy full XL sheet sets was at a specialty bedding store.  They would also charge you extra for the privilege.  But technology has made it easier than ever to find the right sheets for your bed, and shopping online is the best way to save money and get a great set of sheets.  Sets include a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and a pair of standard sized pillow cases.  This lets you get a full set of sheets at a low price and when shopping online you'll have them shipped right to your door.

The decision to order full XL sheet sets online is easy to make, but deciding which sheet sets to order may be trickier thanks to the variety.  Color is the first thing people notice, but material will vary as well.  50/50 cotton and polyester is one option for those looking to save money, but opting for one hundred percent cotton sheets will allow you to choose a thread count from three hundred up to one thousand for maximum comfort.  Flannel and bamboo sheets are also readily available for those living in cold or hot climates.

Split King Bed Sheets – Keeping Individual Comfort in the Same Bed

Many people don’t realize that a king bed is the same size as two twin XL (extra long) mattresses put together.  However, some savvy consumers have used this knowledge to save money on mattresses and easily fit them through small doorways and openings.  Manufacturers have used this knowledge to create split king beds that are adjustable.  Some are therapeutic beds that are moveable similar to a hospital bed, where the back of the mattress behind the shoulders and head, the feet, or the knees can be elevated for added comfort or health reasons independent of the other half of the bed.  Others adjust hardness or softness levels to the preference of each sleeper.  If you any of these types of beds, your life can be made easier with split king bed sheets.

Split king bed sheets in a set come with two fitted twin XL sheets, one flat king sheet, and two king pillowcases.  This makes changing sheets on the smaller mattresses easier.  It also helps adjustments to either side to affect the partner less.  Many can afford two higher quality twin mattresses than one high quality king mattress.  Some of these have pillow tops or memory foam toppers.  The added depth to the mattress can make normal sheets pop off.  It also makes it a struggle to put them on. Split king sheets can also come in deep pocket or extra deep pocket versions.

Let’s talk dimensions.  Before you purchase split king bed sheets, you should be an informed consumer.  Know the dimensions of your particular bed.  You might have an extra long split California king.  Do you need deep pockets or extra deep for your mattresses?  The twin XL mattresses on a typical split king bed measure 39 inches in width and 80 inches in length.  Deep pocket sheets will fit bed that have a depth between six and sixteen inches, while extra deep pockets sheets are for those beds that fall between sixteen and twenty-two inches deep.

You also don’t have to give up luxury just because you have an economical, therapeutic, of comfort adjustable split king bed.  Manufacturers make high quality split king bed sheets out of Egyptian cotton, Pima cotton, cotton/polyester blend, bamboo, and more.  There is even flannel for those colder climates.  Thread count affects the silkiness and smoothness of your sheets, by indicating how many threads are in each square inch of the sheet fabric.  Going below 200 thread count will seriously sacrifice comfort levels.

Full XL Sheet Sets – The Right Fit

When you have a full XL size bed, you'll have a slight issue finding the right sheets for your mattress.  They must be 54x80 inches, a full six inches longer than the standard full size mattress.  That means that not everyone actually has a full XL sheet set for sale.  The internet is the easiest option, and offers a huge number of styles and variety.  There are plenty of things to consider when you're buying a sheet set, and keeping a few of them in mind is important for your satisfaction when it comes to making a purchase of sheets.

The first thing to consider is just what you get when you purchase a full XL sheet set.  In most cases you'll receive a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases.  The next thing to think about is whether or not the set you're looking at will fit your bed.  Yes, the width and length may match up perfectly but the actual thickness of today's mattresses varies.  A deep pocket sheet set will fit mattresses up to sixteen inches thick.  An extra deep pocket sheet set will fit mattresses from sixteen to twenty two inches thick.  It's important to get the right one, or a good fit will be impossible.

Next will be material selection.  The most popular choice is one hundred percent cotton, and this allows you to select from three hundred up to one thousand thread count.  The higher the thread count, the silkier and smoother the full XL sheet set will be.  50/50 cotton and polyester sheets aren't as smooth but offer a lower price for those on a budget.  Bamboo sheets are made to be cool naturally and are perfect for hot summer nights and warm climates, while flannel sheets are perfect for cold weather and will add a little warmth to your bed.

Finally, the color of the full XL sheet set will need to be considered as well.  Matching a room or blanket color scheme is important for most people, and sheet sets are available in a full range of colors to let you find the one that is right for you.  If you'll keep all of these points in mind you should have no trouble finding exactly the sheet set that you need for your bed.  The right fit is a lot closer than you probably realize, and a lot more affordable as well. And don't forget to get a Full XL Mattress Pad to compliment your new sheets.

Queen Sofa Bed Sheet – The Right Fit

There is no question that comfort in your bed begins with the right set of sheets.  Slipping between soft, comfortable sheets is one of the key components of feeling great and getting a good night's sleep.  But when it comes to a sofa bed, most people assume that they can use the same sheets on the sofa bed mattress that they would use on a standard mattress.  Nothing could be further from the truth, and using a queen sofa bed sheet for your queen sized sofa bed is the only way to ensure that your guests sleep in the same level of comfort that they deserve.

The big difference between queen sofa bed sheet sets and standard queen sheets is the depth.  A standard bed mattress could be a foot or more in thickness.  A sofa bed mattress, by comparison, is generally only around four to six inches thick.  Put a regular queen sheet set on that sofa bed, and it will bunch up, hang loosely, and usually come free at the corners and create a huge problem for anyone hoping for a comfortable night of rest.  Your guests won't enjoy themselves, and you'll likely feel more than a little bit embarrassed at the situation.

But queen sofa bed sheet sets are designed to perfectly fit a sofa bed.  Six inches deep and 60 x 74 inches in all around size, they provide a snug fit for any queen sized sofa bed.  And just like standard sheets you'll have plenty of options to select from when you start looking for yours.  Made from your choice of fabric including cotton, flannel, and bamboo, you'll be able to match your style and needs with a sheet set that fits it perfectly.  Whether you need bamboo for warm areas, flannel for cool nights, or cotton for maximum comfort, you'll find it.

Cotton sofa bed sheet sets are available in 200, 300, 400, 500, and 1,000 thread count form so that you get the silkiest or softest sheets you can find.  Simply put, buying queen sofa bed sheets doesn't meant that you have to give up any bit of the luxury, comfort, and style you would expect from a standard set of bed sheets.  And they're available in deep or extra deep pocket designs. Don't give your guests a sleep that they'll remember for all of the wrong reasons.  Take the time to buy sheets designed for a sofa bed.  You and your guests will both be glad that you did.
