Queen Fitted Sheet – Basic Colors to Match Any Bedding

Queen Fitted Sheet – Basic Colors to Match Any Bedding

Regardless of the style of your current queen size bedding, the colors of your walls, or the pattern on your comforter, there are a few basic colors for sheets that are sure to compliment any décor. When you buy sheets to match a new bedding ensemble, it’s always tempting to buy exact matches. What do you do with all those other queen sheets you had before you bought the new bedding? If you purchase basic colors for your queen fitted sheet needs, you should have several options for matching your new bedding scheme.
When it comes to colors for a queen fitted sheet, standard white sheets are the “little black dress” for your bed. White linens will go with just about any color bedding in any color room. By varying the shade of white from standard bright white to differing tones of off white, even the most unique bedding ensembles can be complimented. You can use bright white sheets to set off bold colors, or to compliment warmer earth tones. Off whites can balance busy, active designs and soften intricate patterns. Classic old world themes and antique touches truly benefit most from an off-white background.
If plain or off white are too boring for you, try a queen fitted sheet in a kaki or cream color. These neutral colors also compliment both light and dark color schemes. They also blend well with warm earth tones such as red, brown, blue, or green. The point is to choose simple, basic colors that will match not only your current bedding, but can be equally matched to future bedding purchases. Solid colors are best for this type of versatility, as patterns can be the hardest of all fabrics to mix and match. Solid colored fitted and flat sheets in basic, neutral colors allow you to keep using your sheets no matter what new bed trimmings you buy.
That’s not to say you cannot occasionally splurge and indulge in the perfectly matched queen fitted sheet or sheet set for your new bedding ensemble. Quite the contrary, you should have fun with your bedroom décor. However, if you buy all new sheets just to match your all-new bedding every time you change your room’s look, you could potentially have a closet full of sheets you never use. Why not save yourself some money and keep several sets of universally complimentary sheets and pillowcases. That way, not only will your bed always look good, but you also won’t drown in your own excess bedding.
Thanks,
Rose
